In-store giving campaign provided $5,422 to The Boys and Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan

Pharr, Texas – April 2020. Every year, nearly four million young people are served by Boys & Girls Clubs across America. To show their continued support in preparing today’s youth for a bright tomorrow, Ross Stores, Inc. partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to provide a program called, “Help Local Kids Learn.”  Throughout the month of February, Ross Dress for Less located at 500 N Jackson Rd Ste G, Pharr, TX 78577 participated by offering local customers the opportunity to contribute a monetary donation during checkout to the Boys and Girls Club of Pharr – San Juan.

            Matt Young, Ross Stores Group Senior Vice President stated his support to the national campaign prior to kick off.

Through the campaign and the support of the community, Pharr’s Ross Dress for Less provided Boys & Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan with a generous monetary donation of $5,422 which will assist the organization that collectively serves over 9,000 youth & teens annually. Boys & Girls club of Pharr – San Juan provides a year round positive, educational, and encouraging experience to youth, teens and families. Learning, guided homework assistance, arts & crafts, physical fitness, health & development, social recreation, and emotional wellness are core programs of the Club that are implemented daily through trained, skilled, and caring staff.

Due to COVID-19, Boys & Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan has pivoted its afterschool experience into virtual programming in its efforts to continue to serve the families of Pharr, San Juan and surrounding communities. Check the organization’s social media outlets for guided activities that are both positive and fun during the uncertain times at home. The Main Unit (1026 S Fir St Pharr, TX) and San Juan Unit (509 E Earling Rd San Juan TX) are providing curbside meals to go (breakfast & lunch) and club on the go packets for families between 11am and 1pm, Monday-Friday.
