Washington — Yesterday, Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) received the Legislator Award by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) for his support of the drilling contractor industry in the 115th Congress. As the representative of the 28th district of Texas, the congressman has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in advancing legislation and policies that encourage drilling for oil and natural gas – two fuels that account for over 66 percent of total U.S. energy consumption. He continues to work towards finding solutions that allow the United States secure energy independence and reduce its reliance on foreign energy.

Congressman Henry Cuellar is a member of the U.S. House Appropriations Committee. Previously, he served as a Texas State Representative and Texas Secretary of State.
