ALAMO – A PSJA Memorial Early College High School athlete recently earned 1st place at a Cross Country meet held Sept. 23 in Corpus Christi. Cruz Gomez, a junior, earned 1st place out of more than 350 runners in the competition.
According to the young athlete, he hopes to make this a great season.
“Winning feels good because I am barely coming back into the season,” Gomez said. “After this we are going to Houston. I want to hopefully win the District competition, then Regionals and from there make it to State.”
