Pharr – The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD College Transition Department is offering Virtual College Advising services to continue helping students and alumni with financial aid applications, scholarship opportunities, and college enrollment.
“We want our seniors and alumni to know that our Financial Aid Officers and College Transition Specialists are here to guide them by providing the same services virtually during this difficult time,” said PSJA College Transition Department Director Carlos Garcia.
At PSJA ISD, all high schools are equipped with Go Centers where Financial Aid Advisors are there to assist seniors with the college application process. In addition, once students graduate and go to college, PSJA College Transition Specialists are available to support them and ensure their continued success at the university of their choice.
Through these efforts, PSJA ISD seniors were awarded over $44 million in scholarships and grants for the 2019 school year, according to Garcia.
“Our facilities and schools may be closed, but we want our families to know that our staff is still readily available to help them during this time,” said PSJA Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jorge L. Arredondo. “We want to ensure our seniors graduate and complete the college application process to ensure their future success. Thank you to our dedicated team for finding innovative ways to continue supporting our students.”
