Join us in celebrating this year’s McAllen Chamber of Commerce 20th Annual Presidents’ Cup Golf Tournament sponsored by Boggus Ford Lincoln McAllen.
“What a milestone to celebrate 20 years hosting the Presidents’ Cup Golf Tournament. It all started with former Mayor Leo Montalvo embracing the golf tournament twenty years ago and look where we’re at today.
Over $2 million dollars have been awarded in scholarship monies to McAllen ISD students, along with the monies raised by the Santa Fe Steakhouse Wine Classic. We’ve been very fortunate to have the city and Mayor Darling play a key role with the golf tournament and the Chamber’s fundraising efforts,” stated Blanca Cardenas, Vice President of Membership Services.
The tournament is scheduled for Monday, April 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Palm View Golf Course, 2701 S. Ware Rd. The tournament will be an 18-hole, three (3) player team, Florida Scramble, with a starting field limited to forty-four teams who will be competing for the #1 spot. Maximum handicap per player is 25.
Gift certificates from Palm View Golf Course will be awarded to the 1st ($700), 2nd ($600), 3rd ($450) and 4th ($300) place teams. Other individual prizes for closest to the pin, straightest drive and longest drive will also be awarded. All players will have an opportunity to participate in the Hole in One contest for a chance to win $7,500 in cash or golf trip for two. Other raffle prizes will be given away during the awards dinner presentation following the tournament.
Proceeds from the Presidents’ Cup Golf Tournament benefit the McAllen Chamber of Commerce Education Initiative Program.
