The Palenque Group – In April 2018, Taco Palenque kicked off its fundraising efforts to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. This effort helps them to continue to lead the way to treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases through the St. Jude Give Thanks, Give Hope ™ campaign.

Customers were encouraged to donate $1 or more at the register to support the lifesaving mission of the hospital. The campaign to raise funds was a total success thanks to the generosity of the Taco Palenque customers, friends, and family.

Taco Palenque Founder Juan Francisco “Pancho” Ochoa presented a check to St. Jude’s representative in the amount of $25,000. The proceeds were achieved by donations at the Taco Palenque locations. Anyoleth Sanchez, Texas Region St. Jude representative expressed her gratitude to the community of the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, and Cotulla.

This is the first time that Taco Palenque has participated in the St. Jude Give Thanks, Give Hope ™ campaign. One hundred percent of the donations raised during this campaign go directly to the hospital, which is where doctors often send their toughest cases because St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for some of the most aggressive forms of cancers. To date, St. Jude Give Thanks, Give Hope ™, has raised more than $4.8 million for the kids of St. Jude.

A big applause to all Taco Palenque Restaurants across the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, and Cotulla in Texas and a big hug to all their customers with a big heart.
