MHS Students make Regional Choir, One Advances to Compete for State Spot

Mission, Texas – Several Mission High School (MHS) students returned from the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Regional choir competitions with some honors. Five earned spots in the regional choir. They are (back row from left to right): Jacob Rogel, Nathan Cavazos, Ivan Reynaga. On the front row: Perla Gonzalez (alternate), Angel Almaraz.

Ivan Reynaga earned an additional honor by advancing to the Pre-Area Choir and the competition for a place in the TMEA All-State Choir at the Are Choir competitions to be held in Corpus Christi, Texas in early January. Nathan Cavazos placed as the second alternate to the Pre-Area competition.
