Come celebrate the start of the holiday season in McAllen, the official South Pole of Texas with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Christmas in the Park, the free, family-friendly festival. Enjoy a carnival, food, fun, artisan vendors, arts & crafts, lots of games, activities, entertainment and free concerts and dance group performances for the whole family.
Attendees are encouraged to look for the helium balloon preview, the Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame Trailer & Museum, the Budweiser Dome and other fun booths. Additionally, international telenovela star, model and host of the Spanish-language broadcast of the parade will host a FREE Meet & Greet with fans Friday night!
Enjoy free concerts each night with Friday night bands featuring Texas Storm Band; Xplosion Tejana; Grupo Inevitable; and La Lexxion. On Saturday, the activities start at 12:00 p.m. and that night, bands include the Brody Rivers Band; Solitaire; The Yard Dawgs; Southern Ashes; the Ybarra Boyz; and Pedro Garcia “El Gran Mariachi.”
Christmas in the Park runs Friday, December 1, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and then again on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. The Polar Express runs on Saturday, December 2, 2023, starting at 12:00 p.m. Attendees to both Christmas in the Park and the McAllen Holiday Parade can take the free park & ride shuttle from South Texas College to the event drop-off location. It concludes at 12:00 a.m.
