Jorge Luis Salinas Elected as EDC Board President

The EEDC Board of Directors unanimously approved the election of Jorge Luis Salinas, City Commissioner, Pl. 1, as the board’s new President.

Jorge Luis Salinas is an Edinburg native who has served as an educator for over 16 years. Jorge and his wife of 17 years, Yovann, have two children and are active members at El Buen Pastor Church in Edinburg. He is a graduate of Edinburg North High School and the University of Texas Pan-American.

“I am honored to be selected by my colleagues to lead the Edinburg EDC as President,” said Salinas. “We have a great board and I look forward to our continued work as we aim to improve the quality of life of our residents, create workforce development opportunities, invest in infrastructure, and attract commercial and business to the City of Edinburg,” he continued.
