HARLINGEN – The McAllen exit to westbound I-2 on northbound I-69E (US 77) in Harlingen will be closed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., for a bridge inspection, this Thursday, June 18.

Drivers traveling on northbound I-69E to McAllen will have to temporarily take the Harrison/Tyler exit, turn left  to West Harrison Avenue and then merge to westbound I-2 at the Lewis Lane on ramp.

A second option would be to take the Harrison/Tyler exit and proceed north of the railroad crossing and turn left to Spur 54 and merge onto I-2.

Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan accordingly.

The northbound I-69E travel lanes between Harlingen and Primera will not be impacted by this closure.
