Texas Border Business –

Quinta Mazatlan is proud to announce HEB as the Title Sponsor of the 2015 Earth Day Festival, Vida Verde in McAllen.  Vida Verde is an all-day family festival on Saturday, April 18th from 9:00 to 4:00 at Quinta Mazatlan.  Manager Colleen Hook states “HEB promotes Texas Backyards and the festival encourages citizens to take care of the Rio Grande Valley starting in one’s own backyard!”

HEB officials hope to inspire customers to create backyards for wildlife, cook nutritious meals and be more active outdoors.  Linda Tovar, H-E-B Border Region Public Affairs Manager, states she is excited to partner with Vida Verde once again to serve the community.  The festival will feature HEB chefs and area restaurant chefs by offering cooking demonstrations every hour at the festival.  HEB will be working with the Junior League of McAllen and the RGV Diabetic Association to offer hands-on healthy cooking classes for the children at Vida Verde.
