Minutes later, agents at the checkpoint referred a pickup towing a travel trailer to the secondary inspection area after the driver was involved in a minor vehicle accident at the checkpoint. While at secondary, agents inspected the travel trailer and discovered 46 illegal aliens hidden inside. Agents arrested the driver for the failed human smuggling attempt.
The cases remain under investigation and the Border Patrol is processing all subjects accordingly.
