Edinburg – The City of Edinburg, the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation and the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Edinburg Night of Lights Parade. Individuals, local businesses, community groups, youth organizations and others get together to show off their Holiday spirit in downtown Edinburg.
Don’t miss the beautiful lighted parade, full of brightly decorated floats, plus the ever-popular visit from Santa Claus! Kick off your holiday season on Friday, December 1st at the City of Edinburg Courtyard located at 415 W. University Dr. The event kicks off on November 30th Thursday at 6:00 pm with the lighting of the tree. The parade will take place the following day December 1st beginning on the corner of University Dr. and Sugar Road. The parade will continue East and end at the Hidalgo County Courthouse parking lot (Town Square).
Everyone is welcomed to participate; you just need to follow the Night of Lights theme. The more lights the merrier! Award trophies and prize money will be given to competitive floats for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in Business/Civic, School and Marching Band divisions.
