EDINBURG – Join the Edinburg CISD culinary arts students as they compete in Dessert Duels at noon Wednesday at the Career Center Building in Edinburg.

For the sixth consecutive year, ECISD is hosting its Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer Enrichment Programs. These programs run from June 3^rd to June 20^th and offer a variety of programs that allow high school students the opportunity to continue learning during the summer.

Once again, things are heating up for one of the most popular classes, the Culinary Arts Program. Students will participate in a friendly dessert competition, where they will use what they have learned during their time in the summer Culinary Arts Program to bake and decorate desserts without the help of their teachers.

Students will submit desserts to the judges, which will be evaluated based on taste, texture, appearance and originality.
