DALLAS – Cowboy Chicken, the fast-growing restaurant chain known for its wood-fired rotisserie chicken, has been recognized once again by FastCasual magazine as one of the Top 100 Movers & Shakers. This is the eighth consecutive year that Cowboy Chicken has been named to this distinguished list, which celebrates innovative restaurant brands and executives shaping the fast-casual segment. Cowboy Chicken’s hearty-yet-healthy dishes featuring high-quality ingredients, technology upgrades, and strategic expansion earned the restaurant the 41st slot on the list.

“It’s an incredible honor to be among the Top 100 Movers & Shakers every year since 2012 and to be able to contribute to the overall growth of the fast-casual segment,” says Sean Kennedy, president, and CEO of Cowboy Chicken. “We are proud that our real, honest ingredients and our technology-focused approach to improving the guest experience are truly what fastcasual customers are embracing.”

FastCasual recognized Cowboy Chicken for store development, the launch of its Pronto Pick-Up option, and enhancement of the restaurant’s mobile app, which allows guests to order ahead, pay through their phones, earn rewards and avoid waiting in line. Thanks to these advances, guests can find the closest Cowboy Chicken location through a new map view, order digital gift cards and more, all while earning exclusive benefits and rewards, including a $5 credit for every $50 spent. As of December 2018, nearly 60 percent of guests had completed their transactions through the app.

When commending Cowboy Chicken, FastCasual also notes the chain opened seven units in 2018 and has future locations set for California, Texas and beyond throughout 2019.

For nearly 40 years, Cowboy Chicken has been serving all-natural, hormone-free rotisserie chickens that are hand-seasoned in store, marinated for 24 hours and then slowly roasted for two hours over a real wood-burning fire. Other dishes include signature sour cream tomatillo chicken enchiladas, abundant scratch-made sides such as Twice Baked Potaters™, baked mac & cheese, ranchero beans and seasonal cobblers baked in-house daily. Cowboy Chicken’s hearty and healthy dishes are available during lunch and dinner for dine-in, take out, catering and delivery.
