WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after President Trump announced he will nominate Dr. Stephen Hahn, chief medical executive at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, to be commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration:
“Dr. Hahn is a skilled physician and dedicated researcher with a keen understanding of medicine and hospital management,” said Sen. Cornyn. “He has served patients from all over the world well at the nation’s premier cancer center, and I have no doubt he will serve Americans well at the FDA once confirmed.”
