WASHINGTON – The Port Isabel-Cameron County Airport was awarded a $90,000 federal grant for the engineering and design of fencing improvements, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced. The funding comes through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program.
“Now more than ever, Texas is a top destination for business, travel, and setting down roots, and this grant will help us keep up with how fast our state is growing every day,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I thank the Trump Administration for prioritizing Cameron County and I commend local leaders who worked to secure this funding.”
Senator John Cornyn, a Republican from Texas, is a member of the Senate Finance, Intelligence, and Judiciary Committees.
