—-McAllen, TX–All nine candidates for the Congressional seat for District 15 have been invited to speak at the McAllen Citizens League noon lunch meeting Thursday February 25. The meeting will be at the Salvation Army Center on 23rd Street at Pecan in McAllen.
“We had standing room only at our last political forum”, said Christopher Julian, President of the League. “And we expect a similar sellout crowd at this forum”, Julian concluded.
The League’s political forum format allows each candidate a two minute opening address & a one minute follow up/ rebuttal. After all candidates have spoken, questions from Citizens League members only will be asked of the candidates.
The public is invited to the meeting and lunch is available for $12 for members & $15 for non-members. Membership in the League is only $10 per year. Go to www.McAllenCitizensLeague.org for more information.
