EDINBURG, Texas – Come enjoy a warm cup of coffee and great conversation with Edinburg police officers this October! As part of their ongoing effort to strengthen community ties, the Edinburg Police Department will host four “Coffee with a Cop” sessions throughout the month.
The first gathering took place on October 3, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Starbucks on University Drive. The next meet-up is scheduled for October 10, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Starbucks (525 E. Trenton Rd). Additional sessions will follow on October 17, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 107 Cafe (4129 W. University Drive), and the final event will be held on October 24, at El Caporal 2 (2400 E. Richardson Rd), also from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Making these gatherings extra special, the Edinburg Police Department’s newest member, Domino—a friendly four-year-old therapy dog—will be there to meet and greet the community.
This event offers residents a relaxed opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and connect with the officers who protect and serve Edinburg. For more information, contact the Community Policing Division at (956) 289-7700.
