This past Tuesday, June 1, 2021, the McAllen Independent School District began their summer school program. In following safety protocols for all students, city school parks will continue to follow the normal school day gate closure schedule. The following parks (see list below) located at McAllen Independent School District schools will only be open to the public Monday through Friday during the times listed below. All parks listed will be open Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m.
Summer school hours Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Gonzalez Elementary School – 6300 N. 29th Street, McAllen, Texas TX 78504
- Jackson Elementary School- 501 Harvey Ave., McAllen, Texas TX 78501
- McAuliffe Elementary School- 3000 W Daffodil Ave, McAllen, Texas TX 78501
- Navarro Elementary School- 2100 W Hackberry Ave., McAllen, Texas TX 78501
- Roosevelt Elementary School- 4801 South 26th St, McAllen, Texas 78503
- Seguin Elementary- 2200 N 29th St, McAllen, Texas TX 78501
Summer school hours Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

- Fields Elementary School- W. Dallas Ave, McAllen, Texas TX 78501
