Pharr, Texas – Join the City of Pharr in a celebration of “Spooktacular” Halloween festivities for the entire family, including the Pharr Memorial Library’s Haunted House on October 26 and 27, Movies at the Park featuring Hocus Pocus on October 28, and the Pharr Phall Safety Phestival on Halloween night. The Pharr Memorial Library will host its annual haunted house on Thursday, October 26, 2017 and Friday, October 27, 2017. Due to the tremendous interest, Thursday’s not-so-scary haunted house, designed for younger children, is sold out (media is welcome to attend and cover event). Tickets are still available for Friday’s scary haunted house for older kids. Admission is free with tickets, which must be picked up before the event at the Library Children’s Department. The Haunted House will begin at 6 pm at the Pharr Memorial Library (121 E. Cherokee) in Pharr. The City of Pharr will host Movies at the Park at 7 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017, featuring Hocus Pocus, a bewitching family-friendly flick that is perfect for the Halloween season. Bring the entire family, and don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets. Movies at the Park is free, and will be held at Dr. William Long City/School Park (1014 E. Chapa Ave.) in Pharr. The Pharr Police Department invites you to join them on Halloween night for the Pharr Phall Safety Phestival! It is going to be a night of safe, family fun for all ages, including candy giveaways, youth and adult costume contest, pumpkin carving and decorating contest, music and entertainment, food, and much more. This is a free event, and will be held from 6 pm to 10 pm at Lorenzo Garcia Park (413 E. Clark Ave.) in Pharr. City of Pharr officials wish all Pharr families a safe and enjoyable Halloween! |
