The Pharr City Commission and Kenia Gomez, Director of the Office of City Communications, celebrated the Communications Department for earning three awards during its first-ever participation in the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Conference held in Austin. 

The awards recognize excellence in municipal communications and highlight the department’s commitment to informing, engaging, and connecting with the community. Mayor Dr. Ambrosio Hernandez and the City Commission congratulated the team on their achievement, commending their outstanding efforts in telling the city’s stories, increasing public awareness, enhancing community outreach, and showcasing the many accomplishments and initiatives taking place throughout Pharr.
