EDINBURG, Texas –  The City of Edinburg is proud to announce its upcoming Veterans Day Parade, a tribute to honor all those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The parade will take place along Closner Boulevard, known as the Boulevard of Heroes, on Saturday, November 2, at 10 a.m.

Beginning at Richard R. Flores Stadium, the parade will travel south along Closner Boulevard, concluding at Kuhn Street. This beloved annual event offers the community a chance to participate at no cost by entering a float or decorating their business along the parade route. Political entries are welcome with a $250 registration fee and will be positioned at the end of the procession to maintain the spirit of the event. All participants must complete a simple entry form, which assists in organizing and announcing parade entries. After the parade, the celebration will continue with a special Veterans Day Concert at Promenade Park Amphitheater, starting at 5 p.m. The evening will be filled with music and community spirit, featuring performances by Las Cuerdas, Sammy Arriaga, the Tejano Legends Pioneers Tribute Band, and Los Palominos. Admission is $20 for those aged 15 and up, while veterans with a military ID and anyone donating a new, unwrapped toy for the Edinburg Blue Santa Toy Drive will receive free entry.

Participants in the parade are also encouraged to compete in the Most Patriotic Float Competition, with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Judging will take place at 9:30 a.m. based on the overall appearance of the floats. All float participants must be ready and onboard by this time. Please note that vehicles smaller than a pick-up truck bed are ineligible for the competition.

Forms can also be dropped off at 315 W. McIntyre St. at the Edinburg ACE.
