The McAllen Citizens League will host a political forum at its noon luncheon on Thursday February 23rd at the Salvation Army Center on 23rd Street at Pecan in McAllen.
All mayoral candidates have been invited to this forum. All three candidates Jim Darling, OE Brand Jr. & Jonathan Carranza have confirmed attendance.
The forum format allows each candidate 3 minute opening comments and a 1 minute follow up after all candidates have spoken.
Then questions from League members only will be fielded. “This is one of 3 forums we will have over the next 3 months”, said Christopher Julian President of the League.
The meeting starts at noon and is open to the public. Lunch is available for $12 for members and $15 for non-members. Membership in the League is only $10 per year. Go to www.McAllenCitizensLeague.org for more information.
