Border Patrol Rescues 22 at Stash House

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol and Starr County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) work together to dismantle a stash operation in rural South Texas. 

Late last night, agents received information regarding several illegal aliens being held at a residence against their will. Agents contacted the SCSO and responded to the home. Agents and deputies made contact with occupants of the residence and discovered 22 illegal aliens from the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. Additionally, two hunting rifles and an airsoft gun were located inside.

SCSO arrested a 49-year-old man found at the residence who will face state charges.
