EDINBURG, Texas – The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce (ECC) Ambassadors are pleased to have presented 42 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. The distribution of meal vouchers was held at the ECC Depot on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) held several meetings in Del Rio with members of the local Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, and U.S. District Judge Alia Moses to discuss the impact of September’s migrant surge on the area as well as other policy priorities important to the Del Rio community.

A variety of flu vaccinations are available. Physicians recommend everyone check with his or her doctor to choose the best option. For those who haven’t yet had a COVID-19 vaccination, physicians say getting it at the same time as a flu vaccination is fine.

IDEA Quest College Preparatory is excited to announce that one of their scholars, Aalihya Del Real, has scored a perfect score on the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish Language and Culture Exam, making her one of only 77 students in the world to earn every point possible on the exam.
