RGV Agents Rescue Migrant and Disrupt Human Smuggling

Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) Border Patrol agents assist an unconscious migrant stuck in a drainpipe and disrupted three human smuggling events.

Twelve Gang Members Arrested Within Three Days

Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) Border Patrol agents arrested nine Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) and two 18th Street gang members from El Salvador, and a Mexican national Paisas gang member since Wednesday.

Operation Lone Star Fights Deadly Fentanyl Crisis 

Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to more than 279,100 migrant apprehensions and more than 17,100 criminal arrests, with more than 14,400 felony charges reported. More than 5,800 weapons and more than $43.5 million in currency have been seized. 

Pedestrian Deaths in Texas Increasing

In 2021, 5,366 traffic crashes involving pedestrians occurred in Texas, and as a result 841 people were killed, a 15% increase in pedestrian fatalities over the previous year. Another 1,470 people were seriously injured.
