For the first time in nearly six weeks, state officials said there were enough lawmakers present in the Texas House on Thursday for the chamber to conduct business — opening the door for the passage of the GOP priority elections bill that Democrats have been attempting to kill for the past several weeks by staying far away from the Capitol.

McAllen ISD Will Require Masks

County Order #21-001 mandates that all public and non-parochial private school systems in the County of Hidalgo, Texas offering in-class instruction and/or other indoor activities to students in pre-k program, and grades kindergarten through grade twelve (12) shall require universal indoor facial coverings for all students, visitors, faculty, and staff regardless of vaccination status, in an effort to continue mitigation of the spread of COVID-19. 

City of McAllen Breaks Ground on New Metro McAllen, Parks & Rec Facility

The City of McAllen celebrated the beginning of construction of two departments’ facilities on a 16-acre property: The Parks & Recreation Department New Administration Office & Maintenance Warehouse Facility and the Transit Department New Metro Transfer Station, Administration Office & Bus Maintenance Facility.
