UTRGV Athletics clinched its first South Texas Showdown when the women’s track and field team beat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. UTRGV wins the showdown by a final score of 33.5-to-27.5. The showdown trophy will be presented at a UTRGV baseball game against Corpus Christi on May 14, 7 p.m., in Edinburg.
