Mission, TX –Spikes Ford continues to win top awards from Ford Motor Company. Top ranked officials from Ford Motor Company visited the Valley exclusively to present its President’s Award to Spikes Ford in Mission on July 17, during the special Noon Awards Luncheon at the dealership on the Expressway 83 in Mission, Texas.

The award, which was created in 1998, recognizes dealers for excellence in providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction. Eligibility is determined via customer survey responses regarding their sales and service satisfaction.

Brian Rush who conducted the ceremony said, “Obviously the customer’s experience is the key to our CSI and treating people right is what its all about.” He continued to say, “Thank you for being here. This is a tremendous day for us, a great recognition not only for Spike’s family but also for all of you, the staff who makes our family. When we say family, that’s what we mean. You are a part of the family. This is what makes us a great organization and we are really, really proud of that.”

A description of the award from the automaker reads, “In order to achieve the President’s Award, dealers must exceed customer expectations every day in every department. The pursuit of excellence requires passion, tenacity and hard work. The award salutes those top-performing Ford and Lincoln dealerships that embrace these philosophies, achieving among the highest levels of customer satisfaction in both sales and service in automotive retailing.”

Terry Spikes Rush is a third generation Ford Dealer. Her grandfather, Clark Spikes Sr., opened the Dealership in 1944. Her father, Clark Spikes Jr., took over the dealership in 1980 and retired in 1999. This is when Terry and her husband Brian Rush bought the dealership. This is Spikes 5th President’s Award since 2006 and is the only dealer in the Valley to receive it.

Terry said, “Everybody here did everything that it took to get it done and the path to it started about a year and a half or two years ago up in the managers meeting with Michael when we were trying to come up with a unified goal.”

She continued to say that during that meeting began the path to win the award. “But when you guys put your mind to it, it was amazing,” she told Spikes Ford staff.

Terry gave credit to all personnel because through their efforts they were able to win such a precious a valuable award. “The sales people, the techs, and the service advisors, those are the people that are on the front lines meeting with our customers everyday but make no mistake about it we are up here collectively to say thank you to Spikes Motor Company employees. So thank you guys very much,” she said.

Special thanks were given to Luz Ochoa-Account Manager, who has been employed 62 years with the company.

Officials from Ford that presided at the awards luncheon were Chris Norton, National Sales Manager; Larry Gach, Regional Sales Manager; Sarah White, Zone Manager; Ashley Bronner, FCSP Zone Manager; Scott Lauer, Regional Manager Dealer Development; Kurt Lauer, Regional Manager FMCC and Kevin McGuirk, Sales Operations Manager.
