Congratulations to the 2020 Women’s Council of Realtors Governing Board of Directors for their commitment and dedication to the organization. In the midst of the pandemic, the Women’s Council of Realtors was proactive in producing programs to benefit members such free continuing education courses.
Special thanks to the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors for the recognition of WCR as the 2020 Affiliate Member of the Year. “On behalf of the Governing Board of Directors, our membership and strategic partners, I want to express our appreciation to the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors for acknowledging our efforts,” said President Alma Paek.
“While the pandemic did pose some challenges, the Women’s Council of Realtors looked for opportunities to serve the membership,” Paek added. Looking forward to 2021, the transition of leadership will take place on Thursday, December 17 during the Annual Installation Banquet. It will be held at Edwards Abstract and Title Co. Art Gallery in Edinburg from 11:30-1:00. Outgoing President Alma Paek and the 2020 Governing Board will be recognized for their service and Teri Sipes will be officially installed as 2021 President together with incoming Board of Directors. “We are honored to welcome Judge Nerieda Lopez Singleterry as the Installation Master. She has many of the qualities that we look for in a leader and she is admired by many for her service as a judge and giving back to the community,” said Terry Sipes. Elva Jackson Garza, Vice President and Marketing Manager with Edwards Abstract and Title Co. will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.
The Installation Banquet will be limited to the attendance of the incoming and outgoing boards. Members and strategic partners will be able to tune in and view the ceremonies live on social media.
