On June 15th the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber (RGVHCC) hosted the Women of Distinction Awards Dinner presented by H-E-B. The Women’s Committee reviewed many worthy & talented women from throughout the Rio Grande Valley. They were honored at a lovely dinner not just by the RGV Hispanic Chamber but also a Congressional Recognition by Congressman Henry Cuellar.
Being honored at this year’s Awards Dinner were: Lupe Silva, Humanitarian; Rose Benavidez, Government; Rosa Gonzalez, Entrepreneur; Ruth Naomi Galindo Cesar, Arts & Entertainment; Cynthia M. Sakulenzki representing Betsy Klein, HEB Essential Worker who was working in Uvalde at the moment; Dr. Esmeralda Adame for Education; Marla Sandoval for Health; Hanna Mae Orendain as Rising Star and Lizzy de la Garza Putegnat as a Professional. All of these ladies have excellent work ethics and love for community work.
