John Fallon, CEO of Pearson, a company with over $8.2 Billion in revenues, and #796 on Forbes Global 2000 list will be visiting Brownsville, Texas on May 15, 2015 as a special guest and commencement speaker for Texas Southmost College.
Texas Southmost College is organizing a community forum on education featuring John Fallon and moderated by Pedro Rojas, National News Correspondent with Univision. The event is open to the community and will take place 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. at TSC, SET B Lecture Hall.
John Fallon became CEO of Pearson in 2013 and has set about an ambitious quest to reinvent the 171-year-old publishing company for the Digital Age as a “global learning services company”. In a recent Fortune Magazine article Fallon was quoted “It doesn’t matter to us whether our customers are hundreds of thousands of individual students and their parents in China, or thousands of school districts in America . . . What we’re trying to do is the same thing—to help improve learning outcomes.”
