Pharr, TX– The Food Bank RGV is thrilled to announce Whataburger as a Valley Lemon for Empty Bowls 2021! The 15th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon and Silent Auction will take place from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm on September 21, 2021 at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. The Food Bank RGV is excited to welcome everyone back to its signature event for an even better and bigger experience than before.
This is the seventh year Whataburger is co-sponsoring Empty Bowls 2021. Their sponsorship will provide up 12,500 meals for children right here in the RGV!
Empty Bowls is the largest luncheon of its kind in the RGV. With the purchase of a ticket, guests will be able to enjoy tastings of delicious food and desserts from local restaurants, as well as experience live music and silent auctions. Raffle tickets for a new Cartier watch or Louis Vuitton purse will also be available for purchase. Every Empty Bowls attendee will receive a one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl. The ceramic bowls stand as a reminder for the hunger faced by many throughout the year in the Rio Grande Valley.
