Weslaco to Hold a Forum for the Upcoming City Elections

The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce will host a candidates’ forum for the upcoming City elections that will take place on Tuesday, November 5. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8 at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Weslaco Business Visitor and Event Center.

The forum will be moderated by John Greider of AIM Media, and will be recorded and live streamed by KWES. This year, early voting begins on October 21 and runs through November 1. Weslaco City Commission Districts 5 and 6 are up for reelection. However, both incumbents – Letty Lopez and Joshua Pedraza – will run unopposed. The mayoral race will have two candidates vying for the position – Incumbent David Suarez and Alfredo Castañeda, Jr.
