The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce was recognized with a mayoral proclamation at the October 1st Weslaco city hall meeting for Texas Chamber of Commerce Week, happening October 14-18. Chamber staff and board members Mari Aviles, Bobby Calvillo, Luis Reyes and Daryl Smith were in attendance to receive the proclamation.
Organized through Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE),Texas Chamber of Commerce Week recognizes the challenging work and accomplishments of chambers of commerce and the communities they represent. In recognition of this year’s celebration, the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce will host a series of events to feature and recognize its members. Activities for the week include a Member Breakfast with the Mayor on Wednesday, October 16, social media posts with fun Chamber facts, recognition of longstanding Weslaco Chamber members, member visits, and a member group photo. In addition, a Business After Hours mixer will be held in honor of this year’s Leadership Mid Valley class on Thursday, October 17th from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, sponsored and hosted by Capital Title in Weslaco.
