CAPTION: Bob Davis and Soyla Gonzalez were the Weslaco citizens inducted into the Rio Grande Valley Walk of Fame on Wednesday, March 5 in Hidalgo, TX. Gonzalez , owner of the Soyla Gonzalez Insurance Agency, was the City of Weslaco’s inductee.
Davis, founder of Davis Real Estate and President of Davis Development, was selected by the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce. Both individuals were chosen based on their service and commitment to the community of Weslaco.
A dinner was held at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo to honor community leaders representing each city in the Rio Grande Valley. In addition, bricks with each individual’s name engraved on it will be added to the walkways along the north and east sides of the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo.
