The Weslaco Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Membership and Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, November 2 at the Knapp Medical Conference Center at 11 a.m. Admission is $25 per person, and reservations with payment can be made by calling the chamber at 968-2102. Please RSVP by Monday, October 31. Table sponsorships are available.
The Weslaco Chamber will be presenting four major awards at the luncheon – Man, Woman and Business of the Year, and for the first time, a Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to Weslaco’s business community over a sustained period of time. Board Member of the Year and Volunteer of the Year will be presented also. Nomination forms for all four awards can be found online at weslaco.com.
Incoming board members will be recognized, as well as retiring board members. This year, Vangie Saenz, InterNational Bank, has been elected to her first term on the Weslaco Chamber Board of Directors. Retiring board members include Ruben Cardenas, State Farm Insurance and Jeff Walker, Walker Realty.
