The Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held their 1st Quarter Meeting at Don Pedro’s Restaurant in Weslaco on November 6. The Weslaco Area Chamber Ambassadors are a highly visible group of dedicated volunteers who serve as representatives of the Chamber in the community. These individuals have a vested interest in the success and growth of the community. Serving as an ambassador is an avenue to achieve high-level involvement with the Chamber and community! Daryl Smith, Smith Security Group, was elected to continue as Ambassador Chairman, while Maria Belmares, Designer Zoo Closet Exchange, and Laura Lopez, LaserLux, were selected as Ambassador Chair-Elect and Ambassador Captain, respectively. The Weslaco Area Chamber Ambassador Mission Statement is to serve as champions of the chamber through volunteer leadership and to strengthen the chamber through recruitment of new members and support of retention efforts.
