Wells Fargo Donates $100,000 in Support of El Paso Shooting Victims and Families

EL PASO, TX – In response to the devastating mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, the Wells Fargo Foundation will donate $100,000 to local organizations in support of the victims and their families. 

The donation will be split between two organizations with $50,000 going to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s El Paso Victims Relief Fund and $50,000 going to the United Way of El Paso’s Community Assistance Fund.

  • The Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s El Paso Victims Relief Fund is working with the community, including the City of El Paso, to support impacted victims and families. As an organization, their vision is to “ensure residents have the knowledge, resources, environment and support to live happy healthy and productive lives.” 
  • The United Way of El Paso County created the El Paso Community Assistance Fund focused on long-term support for El Paso County. The Community Assistance Fund’s mission is to address what is expected to be a lengthy healing process for this community; providing long-term support and ensuring access to a wide-range of services to help victims and their families, as well as the community at large, process and navigate this tragedy’s aftermath. .

“We are saddened by the many lives changed by this terrible event in El Paso and the impact it has had on the community as a whole,” said Lead Region Bank President for Wells Fargo in Texas, David Miree. “It is our hope that this donation will help those affected in their healing process, knowing that the local community is supporting them in every way possible.”
