Texas Border Business
Watermill Express is a proud supporter of McAllen ISD schools. They sponsored an essay-writing contest for fourth graders. More than 1,000 students submitted essays and 10 winners were selected and honored on Dec. 12, at Perez Elementary. Students wrote essays where they created a superhero that would engage in healthy habits. The winners received a chrome laptop computer and a wireless printer. Pictured with the students are officials from Watermill Express, the school district, and student parents.
The winners included Lily Faragoza (Roosevelt Elementary), Ian Gonzalez (Roosevelt), Lyric Menchaca (Fields Elementary), Nicholas Montes (Hendricks Elementary), Madalin Alcantar (Perez Elementary), Elizabeth Valdivia (Perez), Jessebella Gonzalez (Seguin Elementary), Leilani Mancillas (Sanchez Elementary), Sydney Acosta (Escandon Elementary) and Aryan Nair (Milam Elementary).
