Peñitas, Texas – In adherence to a strict city ordinance by the City of Peñitas prohibiting heavy trucks from utilizing certain city roads, Hidalgo County Precinct 3’s Waste Collection Station in Peñitas, Texas, serving Precinct 3 residents, will be closed immediately. The decision reflects the County Commissioner’s commitment to upholding all city ordinances and following the rules set forth by the city.

County Commissioner Everardo “Ever” Villarreal states, “I apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause. However, as a public servant, it is my responsibility to ensure strict adherence to all city ordinances for the safety and well-being of our residents. We appreciate the understanding of the public and their cooperation during this transition.”

In light of this situation, Precinct 3 residents are encouraged to utilize any of the other four available collection sites conveniently located throughout Precinct 3.
