The City of Edinburg held their inaugural Walk with the Mayor event this morning at Fire Station 1 in Edinburg. Around 200 participants joined in for a brisk walk around City Hall to promote a healthier lifestyle for our community and we are excited to keep the momentum going throughout the month.
This event marks the launch of the 2023 Move with the Mayor™ (MWTM) campaign, which aims to foster positive changes in physical activity habits and deliver significant health benefits to both our amazing city employees and our residents. We are proud to be part of this nationwide initiative where mayors from across the country unite to improve heart health and reduce health risks by inspiring individuals to embrace a more active and health-conscious lifestyle.
