EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County Elections Department invites all media and public to view, take photos and film video footage of the county’s Hart Verity Voting Equipment as they undergo Logic and Accuracy (L&A) testing in preparation for the upcoming November 5, 2024 General and Local Entities Elections.

The testing will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Hidalgo County Elections Annex Building located at 317 N. Closner Blvd. (REAR) in Edinburg.

L&A testing is conducted on all Hart Verity Voting Equipment before every election. The testing process provides proof that the ballots are programmed correctly, and that all contests and races record votes accurately. The testing also demonstrates that the tabulation of equipment accurately counts ballots and functions properly.

Therefore, during this time, the media has an opportunity to take photos and video footage of the voting machines that will be used.
