Veterans Memorial High School Outdoor Education Program is the recipient of a check from the Walmart Community Grant. The funds will be used to purchase equipment that is needed in the classroom such as bikes, bike packing, and helmets in order to implement bike safety, biking and physical fitness.
This type of outdoor activity builds high cardiovascular endurance and leads to better health. The remaining funds will be used for several units in the outdoor education program.
