Veterans Memorial High School DECA students named Chapter Campaign Award winners. VMHS DECA President Fernanda Gonzalez and President-Elect Layla Choat are both members of this incredible team that has just advanced to the International Career Development Conference in Los Angeles, California. The team is still waiting on details on how the conference will work due to pandemic restrictions.
The team qualified by creating a portfolio with various projects, community service activities, and membership that was submitted to the National DECA Board. Then, the board selects the winners that advance to Nationals to present their compilation of the project that helps train other DECA students in leadership roles across the United States, Canada, and other International chapters.
