NEW YORK, April 25, 2017 – Rio Grande Valley Vipers guard Isaiah Taylor was selected to the 2016-17 NBA Development League All-Rookie Team.
Taylor appeared in 25 regular season games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and started in 19 of those appearances. Isaiah Taylor averaged 21 points, three rebounds and six assists in his rookie season.
Taylor had a season-high of 35 points against LA D-Fenders on November 26, 2016. His contributions on the court led to him earning a GATORADE Call-Up this season. On February 27, the Houston Rockets made Isaiah Taylor the 30thGATORADE Call-Up of the 2016-17 NBA season.
The 2016-17 NBA Development League All-Rookie Team is rounded out with Jalen Jones (Maine), Abdel Nader (Maine), David Nwaba (Los Angeles), and Alex Poythress (Fort Wayne).
