Veterans Recognized for Community Service

Volunteer Veterans were recognized in Commissioners Court for their service to the community. Over 60 veterans volunteer for programs sponsored by the Hidalgo County Community Service Agency Senior Corps Program.

Hidalgo County Community Service Agency honored a group of Veterans who are part of the Senior Corps Program. Members of the program are community volunteers who enrich their retirement years through significant community service work.

“We have a total of 60 veterans that are volunteers working in community service,” said Hidalgo County Community Service Agency RSVP Project Director Sylvia Sepulveda.

Volunteer Veterans engage in the community in many ways.
