Edinburg – Vera’s King-O-Meats in Edinburg was a sponsor for the 14th Annual Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks in Edinburg,held on July 6th, at H-E-B Park located at 1616 S. Raul Longoria Rd. in Edinburg. The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, the City of Edinburg, Edinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce hosted this fantastic, free, quality of life event.
It was a great weekend of fun, championship BBQ, great entertainment and the celebration of our wonderful freedom! The 14th Annual Texas Cook’Em High Steaks in Edinburg, had 109 cooking teams, a free kid’s zone, live music performances by local bands, dance performances by Edinburg’s own 956 Dance Studio, a spectacular fireworks display, and a free, rockin’ performance by Los Lonely Boys! Cooks from across Texas took home a total of $30,000 in cash prizes! Cook off categories included H-E-B Challenge rib-eye steaks, pork spare ribs, chicken, chicken wings, and brisket.
