HARLINGEN, Texas – Delta Air Lines informed Valley International Airport (VIA) that it will begin seasonal daily service between Harlingen and Minneapolis-St. Paul starting Dec. 21. The service will run through the end of April 2014. The flight will depart Harlingen daily at 3:30 p.m. CST and arrive in Minneapolis at 6:30 p.m. CST. The return flight departs Minneapolis at 11:30 a.m. and arrives in Harlingen at 2:45 p.m.

“Minneapolis-St. Paul is one of Delta’s major hubs with more than 400 daily flights. This is great news for Valley residents because the Delta service will offer more destination options with connections to Detroit, Winnipeg, Europe and Asia,” airport board Chairman Richard Franke said. “The flight times are especially convenient for the winter Texans as well as other connecting passengers.”
